Welcome to DC!

I'm finally here! Just wanted to check in because this afternoon I'm going on a Segway Tour of DC. It's been a whirlwind getting here and getting settled, so I expect to start cooking later tonight. Until then, I'm taking suggestions as to what you think I should make in my new kitchen.
As you can see, I have a decent-sized fridge and freezer, a microwave, an electric skillet and an Express 101 cooker. I think you'll be surprised at all the goodies I can cook up without a range!

I am certain that you will be able to whip up lots of goodies. When I move to a new place, it doesn't feel like "home" till I made a nice breakfast like pancakes or make my own bircher muesli.

I'd say, let's start with a frittata and a salad.

I'd sell the microwave and skillet and buy a countertop convection oven and an electric hot plate (or single burner cooktop). Euro-Pro makes a convection oven that seems like the type of thing you'd like for about $79, and you can get a good hotplate for $25. Microwaves make people fat.

Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic. My sister-in-law lives in DC and when I first met my husband she lived in what was called a Junior Efficiency apt on Connecticut Ave. It was the smallest apartment I have ever seen in my life and the smallest kitchen I have ever seen. You definitely look like you are doing better than she was. The kitchen was more like a closet as you entered the apt. Glad she moved out of that place. Good luck!!

Welcome to DC! Be sure to try Dolcezza, the gelato place on Wisconsin Ave in Georgetown before it cools down. Pricy, but yummy.
Ummm, and you can borrow my range if you're stuck :)
