Runner Photo Challenge: What do you do with your medals?

Happy National Running Day! I celebrated with a six-mile pace run, followed by an ice bath, foam rolling and stretching.

I still haven't quite decided what to do about my injury. I'm not in enough pain to not run, but as my boss put it, "Do you want to be able to run at 40? Or walk at 55?"  Such a wise woman.

While I contemplate, I'm trying to focus my energies elsewhere. I've been cleaning up, packing for a business trip and baking more than my ass would like.  I also wanted to get in on Maggie's current Runner Photo Challenge:

What do you do with your race medals?  Show us. Even if you get rid of them, show us that.

I put a lot of thought into what to do with my medals. Medals are incredibly important to me. I worked hard for these tokens, and I want to be reminded of what I'm capable of and what I've accomplished. Last fall I set up an ego wall in my workout area, featuring old bibs, photos and motivational posters.

I didn't want to sink a ton of money into a project that commemorates me. This is a do-it-yourself project that turned out well. I picked up a set of hooks, frames, magnetic strips and a dry erase board from IKEA. I think I spent about $20 on the whole project, which is money well spent. It features all my medals:
Big Hit Half Marathon
Fort2Base Race 11.5 miles

Fitness for America 10K, second in my AG
Learning Tower Tri, first in my AG
Plus, there's plenty of room left for future races! Provided my ankle holds out, of course.

I like your DIY hanger! Did you get both medals for F2B? Are they fixing that this year? I finished the race so late they did not give me the little chain.

We need to hear more about this pain. When does it hurt? Is it affecting your gait at all? Do you feel more worried about it after seeing the chiro?

I got both medals from F2B because the volunteers were confused. I talked to Caylei about this a while back and they're working on a new medal configuration to ensure everyone gets an awesome medal at the end.

So the foot ... It's a pain on the outside of my ankle and within my foot. I don't really feel it when running and it doesn't make me want to stop. I feel it more when I stop or when I'm sitting at my desk. The chiro seemed to take it far more seriously than I did.
