Yelp Elite Party at Fire it Up!

It's the first Yelp Elite party of 2014! Tacos, the world's most perfect food, is the perfect way to kick off the new year. We convened at Fire it Up!, an upscale Mexican fusion restaurant that started its life as a food truck and was just invented as a cozy destination in a Naperville strip mall.

The food is entirely house made, except for the ketchup and mayonnaise. It features organic, locally sourced ingredients with unexpected additions. For example, the guacamole was super smooth and served with Parmesan-dusted chips. Unexpectedly awesome.
Appetizers included a shrimp wonton.
Before we started tasting tacos!

My favorite taco was the house specialty, the gringo taco. So good!
We also had dessert, which were tiny brownies wrapped in wontons, fried, and topped with chocolate sauce.
And of course, it's not an Elite party without swag! I love these chapsticks and stash them everywhere.
Are you on Yelp? Let's be friends. And if you want to know join me at a future Yelp party, here are my tips for scoring an invitation to Yelp events.
