Tim is finishing his MBA next month and received an offer from a company in Seattle contingent upon the completion of his degree. He starts his job in mid July, which is when we'll have to be settled in Seattle by.
As for me, my job will allow me to work remotely 100 percent of the time, logging hours on central time from my living room in Seattle. I work in social media and public relations, most of which can be done online. To get ready for the transition, I've already started working remotely on a regular basis to get used to creating my own schedule and deliverables.
Our little townhouse in the suburbs just hit the market last week. We've had one showing and have an open house scheduled, but it's slow going. Here's hoping I'm not stuck with a suburban townhouse 2,000 miles away when we pack up for Seattle.
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my townhouse, buy me maybe? |
Potential apartment office view |
This guy, however, is coming with. Napoleon might be kind of a jerk, but he's about to become a Pacific Northwest jerk. Every apartment we looked at was dog friendly to the extreme, some even boasting dog runs and grooming stations. People in Seattle are crazy about their pets, evidently.
Just laying in the sun, leave me be |
I think they might allow pets here |
Any other Seattle/moving questions?

That's awesome that you're going to be able to work remotely!! I was hoping they would say yes to that :-)
There are a lot of unknowns, and just as many opportunities! I imagine it can be tough to not know what's ahead, but embrace it. You'll rock it!
The midwest will miss you!!
