Three Things Thursday

1. I'm quite disappointed with the number of showings we've had on our house. Because I'm working from home more often than not now, showings are a whole process. In addition to having a spotless house that looks like adults live there and not teenagers, I have to remove all the dog stuff, take Napoleon and my laptop away and work in my car until it's over with. We have it down to a science now, if anyone wants to come and view/buy the place (please oh please).

2. This is the card I got my mom for Mother's Day. I'm kind of a terrible kid.

3. Here's my rant for the day: why are women's clothing sizes not standard? I bought this swimsuit on Amazon ($24 FTW!) in the same size I always buy my swimsuits. It got here and was woefully missized. Manufacturers, stop the madness. I don't want vanity sizing. I want easy-to-buy products that have a reliable results. So long, swimsuit ....

The inconsistent sizing drives me up a wall. I hate when women's sizes are inconsistent within the same store. Like, if size X fits me in these pants by the Gap, then I should be able to assume that all of their size X pants fit me (even if they aren't the most flattering cut, at least they should FIT). Why can't our sizing be based on measurements like guys sizing is? BOO.

Yes Maggie x1000. There's a reason women take so much longer to shop than men - even if you buy the same jeans over and over again and the sizes will be different. Ugh.

I hate the variation in sizing too. Some guy in the UK made a ton of money from an app that tells you what size you'll be in different stores! It'd be nice if he made one for the US

I remember when we were selling our house that I would both wish for and hope we didn't get calls for showings. With two large dogs and both of us working it was a pain to have to rush home and get the dogs out of the house! I even recruited my mom to help once.
