Training Tuesday: What's Next?

What a crazy couple of weeks. I touched down from Vermont just over two weeks ago with a shiny new marathon PR and an even shinier medal (yes, it's still in my purse - no shame). Then, I tackled my longest bike ride to date, logging 75+ on Suzie Slice at the Udder Century Ride. Additionally, Alyssa and I tacked on a run at the end, so this was my first brick of the season. Last week's open water swim went swimmingly (I'm so funny).
I get sweaty at CrossFit

In short, I'm feeling awesome. Maybe invincible.

I've even had a few successful WODs in the past two weeks. I completed two CrossFit Endurance workouts as prescribed, including this morning's super sweaty 8-set of 10 thrusters at 45 pounds, 15 kettlebell swings at 35 pounds and 20 double unders.

My next athletic pursuit is this weekend's Esprit de She triathlon in Naperville. It's a sprint triathlon with a .5-mile swim, 13 mile bike ride and 5k run. I've been upgraded to the elite start wave and am ready to give this course hell. I felt great in my practice swim and plan to do this sans wetsuit and pedal shoes, if I can get my bike to the shop to swap out the pedals. It'll be my first tri of the year, and another brick in the wall I'm building to get me to Ironman Wisconsin. The weather is looking good, the course is great and I feel like an athlete lately.
Suzie Slice is ready
So basically, I'm ready to come into my own as Ironbitch. I'm going to bring it. See you Sunday, age group win.
