1. Napoleon is settling into his new kingdom quite nicely. The windows are lower and more plentiful, so he spends most of his day lounging and alerting us that there are squirrels in his back yard. If reincarnation exists, he was very good in his last life.
2. The biggest change we've made in our first two weeks of home ownership is upgrading the doors and trim. We had a crew spend a week+ painting the kids' rooms, two accent walls and replacing all the doors in the house with solid core six panel models. With the new hardware, it's already looking like an entirely different house.
1. I'll eventually do a full tour of our new house, but first I'll need to finish unpacking (easier said than done). Until then, here's a look at a portion of our first floor:
