Photos From Today

I started the day with a homemade almond milk latte.
Then I did a looong 11 mile run.  And it wasn't just long in distance. I ran at Busse Woods, which will be the site of my next half-marathon PR attempt. The path was icy and it was snowing a bit, and those snowflakes felt like daggers. My overall pace was 9:17 and I'm really hoping that the paths will be ice-free on race day.
I treated myself to a post-run margarita, mostly because I had to clear out the freezer and sliced this package open on accident.

I had to make room for our first share of grassfed beef. We got a mixed share of ground beef, sirloin and T-bone steaks because it's more affordable to buy the cow directly from the farmer. We're trying the ground beef tomorrow afternoon.
I also cleaned our couch according to this tutorial. Not sure if this made much of a difference or not, though. I'd be better off renting one of those scrubbers at  the hardware store.
We're now feasting on homemade chicken tikka masala with brown rice and green beans. And wine. I have to enjoy the last of my freedom before formal training for the 70.3 Ironman Racine starts Monday.
