Three Things Thursday

1. My job is really, really awesome. I worked a ton this week during our annual conference, but I also had a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Wrigley Field. We bought out the whole facility and our conference attendees got to see every facet of the facility, including the press box, the batting tunnel, the clubhouses and the dugouts, which is where I took this selfie. We were also invited onto the field to try our hand at batting a homerun, or just field balls in the same outfield the stars play in every summer. It was incredible.

2. When I was in Maine, I finally, finally met Candace in person, as well as her yorkie baby. Murphy is easily half the size of Napoleon and twice as sweet. I tried to take him home in my handbag, but it turns out my house doesn't have sweeping vistas of the cape or my own beach, so he was having none of that. It has inspired me to start collecting yorkies and fine yorkie art, however.

3. Another travel shot, this time from my terrible wasted hours spent at the Philadelphia airport. This is pretty funny, though. The love for Pope Francis follows him, I suppose.

Did you swing the bat in your dress?

I did not try the whole batting thing - you know I suck at sports that require anything more than a high tolerance for discomfort.

Thanks, friend! I loved catching up with you last week. LMK if you're visiting the Midwest any time soon.
