chocolate tasting. It was at the same place as the chocolate-making workshop we attended and it was lovely. We had our choice of eight samples and the owner explained the nuances off all the different flavors. It was awesome - my favorite was the Aztec bar, which was dark chocolate, cinnamon, chili powder, rice krispies, pumpkin seeds and cashews. The avalanche bar was also great - I'm a sucker for peanut butter, but the rice krispies, mini chocolate chip and marshmallows really pushed it over the top.
I stayed at my sister's apartment the night before Zooma to keep things simple. Her house has some interesting art. This is the Pom-corn piece, which was digitally altered so all the Pomeranians had one blue eye. Just like Bowie.
Erin lent me for a black-tie wedding Tim and I attended. This dress did wonderful things for me. When I spend 90 percent of my free time in running clothes, it takes a village to get me presentable. Thanks, ladies!
On Sunday, I got myself a new blogging box. I bought a chromebook for a song, which I think will suit me just fine. It's tiny and light and I only use my laptop for blogging, social networking and writing anyhow, so this will be just fine.
Also, my tomato plants are going insane. Bruschetta, grilled pizza and caprese salads are in my future.
