Thanksgiving 2012: Just the facts, ma'am

Fact: Thanksgiving is the most popular running day of the year.  Yay, guilt run! I ran a 5K loop around my house, which doesn't even begin to make a dent on what I ate today.
Fact: I wish my turkey trot was today instead of Saturday. It's going to be a cold one.
Fact: The average American consumes 4,500 calories today. I pride myself on being above average.
Fact: My parents have liquor that's older than me. It perfectly matches the '70s-tastic wet bar in their rental home.
Fact: Many of these fact are not entirely true.

I would believe that today is the most popular running day of the year. I saw so many neighbors out running this morning. I have never seen them walk anywhere let alone run! They looked like they were about to die from exhaustion. The trail I ran on was crowded as well as the track. I'm sure it will be empty next week!

I am happy you were still able to fit a run in! :)

Hmmm, now to figure out which facts aren't entirely facts :-)

I'm actually glad my Turkey Trot is tomorrow instead of yesterday. My pre-Thanksgiving festivities made it difficult to do much of anything that early on Thursday.

A few years ago we stumbled upon the remnants of my grandparent's liquor cabinet that they never organized, despite living in their current home for 15+ years. They have all of the ingredients to make the most crucial beverages (slo gin fizz anyone? I don't even know if that is how you spell it.) I thin they even had some bottles of (very, very flat) pop that made their way along with the rest of the bar. Ahh, hilarious.
