My First Day of Weight Watchers Meals

So to continue on last night's theme, I got started with Weight Watchers today in earnest. Based on my age, weight and height, I get 26 points. This is the lowest number of points WW offers. In addition, I get 49 flex points per week to use at any time I please. I could blow it on an awesome meal or spread it out all week long. I also earn points for being active, which I can eat or not. I'm not training for anything intensely right now, so my hunger level is pretty manageable. I went to the gym today, but decided not to eat the points today because I'm not feeling it. Maybe I'll eat them tomorrow when I go out for lunch with a friend.
Without further adieu, here's what I ate:

Breakfast was steel-cut oats with blueberries, pecans and almond milk. I also had a cup of coffee with almond milk, so my total for breakfast was five points. I make my steel-cut oats in a crock pot to make them extra awesome (and easy).

Tim and I hit the gym, which was packed with resolutioners. I did 20 minutes of weights and 20 minutes in the pool. We hit Chipotle for lunch and I had a salad with barbacoa, pinto beans, pico de gallo and sour cream. It was nine points.

Dinner for me included four ounces of turkey Polish sausage, a cup of green beans with my favorite Thai red curry sauce from Trader Joe's and a salad with zesty Italian dressing from Aldi. Dinner was six points.

I still had points leftover after dinner, so Tim and I cracked open a bottle of wine. I had five ounces of red wine with two pieces of extra dark chocolate wedges from Trader Joe's. This snack was six points.

Tomorrow is another day and I'm looking forward to a long run and a great lunch with an old friend!
