Three Things Thursday

1. I'm sending happy thoughts out to running buddy and frequent guest blogger Jenny. She's recovering at home from a total foot reconstruction. That's right: she ran Disney last weekend and underwent major surgery today. She's off of running for some time, but we're looking for a 5K she can use a knee scooter at.
Making this cast look good ...
2. I had breakfast with Larissa yesterday and it was lovely to catch up with her. She's the Oak Brook representative of the Protein Bar Challenge, a month-long endeavor to get healthy. I met Larissa in college before she became a bad-ass soldier serving in the National Guard. Her contract expires at the end of April and she needs to lose the weight from having two babies back to back in order to renew her contract. So far, she's lost 11 pounds during the challenge. I'm looking forward to casting my vote for her at the end of the challenge so she can win a trip to Washington, D.C., my favorite!
Denver Scramble & Comiskey Cocoa. I like the Millennium Perk shake better.
3. I've been watching my favorite playlist on YouTube - my Ironman playlist. And I've been dreaming.  I haven't signed up for a 70.3 yet. Why, I don't know.  It's pricey and I don't want to find out later that I have to forfeit $250 because something comes up. But on the flipside, I think that if I pony up the cash, I'll commit so as to not waste money. Choice, choices.

I've been stopping by Protein Bar in Oakbrook after all my chiropractor sessions. Those coupons we received are sure coming in handy!
