I'm not on a training plan right now, so this run was purely a pleasure tour. I wanted to keep it under 10 minutes per mile, which isn't fast by any means, but it was enjoyable. It took me exactly one hour to travel 6.3 miles. I feel particularly blessed today for any number of things: having a job, having a job that calls it a day early enough to go for a run, beautifully unseasonable weather, clothes on my back and good music in my ear.
As the sun shined down on my shoulders and the tunes pumped, I couldn't help but smile. It might have been the adrenaline coursing through my veins or the promise of a post-run boost of energy, but I really enjoyed being a runner today.

But hate it when people say under 10:00 isn't fast!!! It is for me! LOL :) :) :)
(okay, hate is a strong word. you know what I mean - don't be hard on yourself! :) )
