Cooking with Kelly: Honey Beer Bread Recipe

Mmmm, carbs and beer in a loaf form. This beer bread recipe turned out sweet and malty, with plenty of air bubbles in this dense loaf. A thick slice of this bread would be great with butter alongside a hearty vegetable soup on a chilly afternoon. It's very easy and comes together quickly

Honey Beer Bread Recipe
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons honey
1 can beer (I used Miller Lite)
4 Tablespoons melted butter

Prepare a loaf pan by spraying it with cooking oil, then lining with parchment paper. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, mix together the honey and beer. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, then stir to combine. The batter will be thick.

Pour half of the butter into the pan, then add the batter on top of it. Pour the remaining butter on top, then bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, or until the top is golden brown.
