1. The binge-free February challenge that
Kim inspired me to start is going really well. I lost four pounds last week (some of that was water weight) and I've managed to stay away from most crap. I did eat more ice cream than I should have yesterday, but I decided I deserved it after some minor surgery yesterday. Ice cream has healing powers, didn't you know?

My binge wasn't nearly this bad |
2. With my new enthusiasm for healthy eating comes a kind of healthy addiction to
green tea. It has
many health benefits, and I only enjoy it with Splenda, so three cups a day doesn't mean I have a problem ...

Delicious, delicious green tea |
3. I have discovered the grossest breakfast combo ever:
steel cut oats with vanilla protein powder and blueberries. I read in a magazine or maybe in one of
Tosca Reno's cookbooks that protein powder and oatmeal is a great protein-packed power breakfast. They lie. It is not. I was sad because
I love oatmeal, but I'll just stick to the non-protein powder oats. Ick.

I do the cold overnight oats (1/3 cup each of oats, yogurt [I use plain, preferably greek] and mile [I use plain soy], mix and let sit overnight in the fridge) and mix in peanut butter (or dump it in an almost empty peanut butter jar and shake it up). I figure the combo of yogurt, milk and peanut butter makes a pretty protein-packed breakfast. And it's creamy and delicious and easy to take to work.
Yay! Happy you are doing well with your eating! And ice cream is not a binge. It's a splurge. I usually have something sweet every day :)
What surgery did you have?
I put protein powder in my oatmeal last March and will NEVER try that again. Most disgusting thing EVER!!!
Oh, I got an IUD placed, so no biggie in the long run, but it hurt like hell.
